The second season of Netflix‘s adaptation of Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez‘s comic series ‘Locke & Key’ is set to premiere soon, as the popular streaming platform has already announced its release date and has published an official trailer.
Following a very successful first season, one which was released back on February 7, 2020, ‘Locke & Key’ has become one of the most interesting horror series on Netflix.
The first season of the series tells the story of three children Tyler, Kinsey, and Bode, who discover some mysterious magic keys at the family home of their father, Rendell Locke, who was murdered by former student Sam Lesser.

The ‘Locke & Key’ Season 2 Release Date
The series Locke & Key’s second installment is all set to be released just before Halloween on Friday i.e. 22nd October 2021.
For those who are yet to watch the first season, there is still time to do so before the popular platform releases the next installment.
Netflix has also released the first teaser trailer of the second season and you can watch it below. The trailer hints at new threats that the three children will face in the second season of the series and teases the creation of a new key that could introduce viewers to new supernatural monsters.
The ‘Locke & Key’ Season 2 Cast
All protagonists from the first season are expected to return, with Darby Stanchfield playing Nina Locke, Connor Jessup featuring as Tyler Locke, Emilia Jones as Kinsey Locke, Jackson Robert Scott as Bode Locke, Griffin Gluck as Gabe, Laysla De Oliveira as Dodge, Petrice Jones as Scot Cavendish and Genevieve Kang as Jackie Veda.
Meanwhile, Bill Heck will be back as the Locke family’s dead father and Cody Bird will return as Rufus Whedon. Aaron Ashmore and Hallea Jones are set to play Duncan Locke and Eden Hawkins respectively.

Locke and Key Netflix original series, so season 2 will be available to stream exclusively on the platform. Like most Netflix shows, all 10 episodes will close at once. Netflix series typically release at 12 p.m. PT on their release dates, so new installments will hit streamers bright and early on October 22.
